American Nursing Services Values Statement

Satisfying American Nursing Services, Inc. (ANS) clients and nurses is the single most important thing you can do while working for ANS. The following are the values instilled in all ANS employees:

Nurse First

• The purpose of ANS is to put the nurse first and to empower the nurse to provide the best patient care and the highest quality bedside services
• The ANS goal is for nurses to work where and when they want to work
• ANS is nurse-owned and operated; ANS empowers nurses in its management (many ANS Clinical/Branch Directors are nurses)
• By hiring nurses in ANS management, ANS is able to visit the units and meet with the charge nurses and/or nurse managers; ANS truly understands the issues and needs of its clients and offers practical solutions to solve these issues

• ANS employees put themselves in the place of the client or nurse and do whatever is most appropriate from the client or nurse's perspective
• Employees of ANS are empathetic to the nurse; ANS employees do for the nurse what the employees would do for themselves or for their brothers or sisters
• When recruiting and staffing nurses, ANS employees think of the patient as their parent; the nurse is never put in the wrong situation

• ANS employees treat every client and nurse with courtesy and respect and take as much time as necessary to give good service
• ANS employees treat clients and nurses as their equal and never express an attitude of superiority, self-righteousness or condescension
• ANS employees never preach any personal philosophy to a client or nurse and never approach a situation with any client or nurse with the idea of determining who is "right"

• ANS listens to its employees and implements change when necessary
• ANS believes in sharing best practices among branches
• In some markets, ANS has an advisory board of nurses that ANS partners with to share information, keep abreast of client needs and listen for ways to be better

• ANS is focused on hiring the highest quality nurses
• ANS has an extensive credentialing processes; the quality of patient care is a top priority
