  1. Where do we staff?
    Our Allied Health Staffing Division has many exciting opportunities available around the country.

  2. Do you provide instant pay, direct deposit?
    Yes, we have 100% daily instant pay available as well as direct deposit.

  3. Do you have contract work available and per diem?
    At the present time, we are staffing mostly on a per diem basis. If you are interested in working full time on contract, we will gladly market you to all facilities in search of the perfect position.

  4. How much experience do you need to be an American Nurse?
    We require at least one year current experience in the specialty area that you are interested in working. Please call a recruiter nearest you to review your specific case.

  5. What are your pay rates?
    Pay rates fluctuate depending on the facility, shift and unit. For more detailed information, call your local recruiter.

  6. Does American Nursing Services hire RNs, LPNs, LVNs, CNAs, Respiratory Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Medical Imaging Techs and other healthcare professionals?
    Yes, we are always looking for gifted nurses and clinicians to join the American team.

  7. What type of benefits do you offer?
    We offer excellent pay rates, Flexibility and Independence, Full-time, health, dental, life and vision insurance, referral bonuses, 100% daily instant pay, 401k after 30 days, malpractice insurance, workers compensation, unemployment insurance, social security benefits, and direct deposit. In addition, we have an experienced office staff on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, an RN on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we are Nurse owned and operated.

  8. How do I apply with American Nursing Services?
    To become a part of the American team, fill out our QUICK APPLICATION, or visit an office near you.

  9. Am I under any obligation after submitting my application?
    Absolutely not. Your application is simply used to qualify you for placement so that when you are ready, we can match you with an assignment. Once you become registered, there will always be an exciting assignment waiting for you.

  10. What do I need to bring when I come into the office?
    Please bring 2 forms of identification (drivers license, Social Security card, passport), CPR card, current nursing license, current TB & physical, ACLS, NRP, PALS, if they apply to your specialty area.

  11. How long does it take to fill out an application?
    We have designed our on-line application process to allow you to complete the application process as quickly as possible. In addition, you have the ability to save your application to complete it at another time or to make revisions as necessary

  12. Do I need to take a test?
    Yes, a medication test and a unit specific tests that you will need to complete. When filling out our on-line application, you will automatically be given the appropriate tests for your areas of specialty.

  13. What if I have test scores from another agency?
    We do accept test scores from other agencies. However, we do require that they be submitted to us on company letterhead.

  14. When and how will I be paid?
    We offer 100% daily instant pay and direct deposit. If you submit your timesheet after a completed shift prior to 4:30pm CST, you will receive your pay that same day. If it is after 4:30pm CST, your funds will be available the following business day. With Direct Deposit it could take up to 48 hours.
  15. Do we offer night differential?
    Yes, we do offer a night differential.

  16. Do we offer weekend differential?
    Yes, we do offer a weekend differential.

  17. Is there a fee for American Nursing Services' job placement services?
    No, there has never been a fee for job placement services.

  18. If I refer a friend to American Nursing Services, am I eligible for a referral bonus?
    Absolutely. In fact, more healthcare professionals come to American Nursing Services, through referrals from their friends and co-workers than from any other source.

  19. What types of assignments are available?
    There's a spectrum of assignments available nationwide! You specify the type of assignment you're looking for, and we'll find it. Positions are available in almost all specialties and shifts.

  20. How do I find out the licensing requirements for each state?
    Your recruiter will advise you on the specific requirements in each state and the length of time necessary to obtain a license in the state you have chosen to take an assignment. For more information, check out our state licensing section.
